At Bill’s Place we believe that every person has their own journey, their own passion, and their own path to follow.
Bill’s Place is a group of skilled and committed professionals that provides housing and personalized support to individuals whose lives have been impacted by acquired brain injury, trauma and dual diagnosis. Our care is offered within our cluster of seven homes, as well as within our eight suite apartment building, both located in beautiful Departure Bay, Nanaimo, British Columbia. We also offer individually based, out patient support to individuals living on their own in community.
We believe that every person is on a journey of healing and self-discovery, and since opening our doors in 1996, we have come to understand the profound power that lies within each one of us. At Bill’s Place, we have witnessed first-hand that by offering gentle guidance, support, respect and acceptance, people have the power and inner knowledge to direct their own healing. It is our belief that relationship with clients must always come before interventions. We honour the dignity and value of each person and appreciate that each individual is on a unique journey. It is our commitment to these values that is the foundation to our successes at Bill’s Place.
With our relationship based model of care, we are able to accommodate the needs of each individual. We put this vision into practice by establishing strong, respectful relationships with our clients and families, team members, our advisors, our professional partners and our funders.
